Northeast Greater Paris is a key economic area in the Paris region comprising some twenty communes (towns) at the intersection of Paris and the départements of Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne. As well as three Paris arrondissements and the towns of Vincennes and Saint-Mandé, it includes the intercommunalités (groups of communes) of Plaine Commune and Est Ensemble. The area is strategically located within easy reach of the central business district, Paris-La Défense and the Grand Roissy-Le Bourget area (with two of the city’s major airports). Its dense public transport network is currently being further enhanced.

The area’s economy is based on the presence of large international group headquarters, small and medium-sized companies, and a recognised ecosystem in the digital and cultural/creative industries sector. The area boasts modern office buildings and the attraction of a young labour pool. It is also home to a large number of training organisations: the Condorcet campus, with its high level of excellence in human and social sciences, has recently further added to this repository of talent.

Greater Paris is an area undergoing significant change, with an explosion of new projects stimulated by the organisation of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics. New sports facilities and the Olympic Village, which will remain in place after the event, will make the area even more attractive to live in.
