There are 67 sustainable neighbourhoods which represent 3,215 hectares of surface area and host 113,000 homes in 2017, in the Paris region. Their surface area vary from 1 hectare for the ÉcoQuartier Fréquel-Fontarabie in Paris (20th district) to 337 ha at the Moulon site in Gif-sur-Yvette (Essonne county). Over 250,000 inhabitants of the Paris region should eventually live in one of these exemplary neighbourhoods.
