The healthcare industry in the Paris region

At a European level, the Paris Region has achieved excellent rankings5: fi rst, in terms of the number of “pharmaceutical” sector companies; second, in terms of medical equipment companies; and third, in terms of biotechnology companies (nearly 150). In 2019, the core healthcare industry provides 56,000 jobs in the Paris area.
